Accounting Assistant

El Dorado, AR:

Perform essential accounting functions under the direction of the Fiscal Officer.

• Assist with bi-weekly payroll functions, processing garnishments, deductions, balancing payroll, and posting payroll and journal entries.
• Assist with the reconciliation of payroll and W2’s.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of insurance, retirement, and employee files.
• Assist with the preparation of state and federal reports as necessary to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of weekly accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with the set up and maintenance of vendor accounts and 1099 processing. • Assist with the reconciliation of bank statements.
• Maintain the Personnel Allocation Report (PAR) system.

Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Two years of accounting experience and a firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Cook Assistant @ Fairview

Transport food in the agency provided containers from food preparation kitchens to agency centers in the time required to meet CACFP mealtime pattern guidelines. Assist with food service, set up and clean up the meal time environment, maintain a safe and sanitary environment according to state and federal guidelines, transport containers back to food preparation kitchens if applicable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement individual and group daily learning experiences for children that advance their school readiness skills and stimulates language, social, emotional, and motor skills growth. Oversee the management and supervision of children in order to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment. Ensure implementation of the agency approved curriculum plan. Serve as an advocate and liaison between family and community services and in collaboration with center staff, work to ensure children and families receive comprehensive services according to Head Start Performance Standards. Responsible for providing services to parents of Early Head Start children and expectant mothers. Complete the Family Assessment and develop a plan of action to meet family needs and goals, conduct a minimum of two home visits per year with each family, meet with expectant mothers weekly and conduct home visits after delivery to assist with the transition of the infant into the classroom setting, make referrals and schedule appointments for services, recruit new families for the program, ensure that children are up to date on all health-related issues, maintain child records, and submit reports as required.
