Family Involvement –
You may already know that F.A.C.T. is dedicated to helping children, but did you know that F.A.C.T. also provides many services for the entire family? Please take a look at the list below. Our agency works to the betterment of the whole family, which in turn makes for a better community for everyone.
F.A.C.T. helps parents and families in our program to reach goals such as:
- Getting a G.E.D.
- Applying for and taking college courses
- Improving reading skills
- Finding marriage, substance abuse, emotional and other counseling
- Finding assistance with chronic health problems
- Developing better parenting skills and increasing parent knowledge about child development
- Meeting housing and transportation needs
- Getting a driver’s licenses
- Coping with crisis situations
- Improving job skills and seeking employment
- Providing referrals to health care professionals
- Meeting financial needs
- And many, many more!
Community Involvement –
F.A.C.T. provides many services to the community, but F.A.C.T. also needs the community’s support! For every $1 of federal funds the program receives, .25 cents must be matched by donations and volunteer hours from our community. Volunteers from the community make a great impact on the children in our program and keep them in touch with the “real” world. Volunteers are always needed. Please call (870) 862-4545 and become a volunteer today!
What volunteers can do:
- Play with the children
- Read or tell stories
- Make learning materials
- Help prepare and serve meals
- Do cleaning and maintenance
- Help supervise playground
- Talk about and show your hobbies
- Help the teachers prepare bulletin boards
- Do yard work and landscaping
- Sing with the children
- Help in the lunchroom and kitchen
- Donate items
- Rock the infants
- And many, many other things!
