Established in 1995, Families and Children Together, Inc. (F.A.C.T., Inc.) is a single purpose, private non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. The service delivery area of F.A.C.T., Inc. includes the five south central Arkansas counties of Calhoun, Columbia, Dallas, Ouachita, and Union.

With its inception in July 1995, the agency started providing Arkansas Better Chance center base preschool program to childre (ages 3 to 5) and their families at Bearden, Magnolia, Strong, and Taylor. With the added granteeship of Head Start in 1996, and Early Head Start in 1999, a wide array of program options opened up to serve the low-income, disadvantaged families of our five county service area. Through competitive applications, the additional Arkansas Better Chance for School Success (ABCSS) Program classrooms were added in the fall of 2004. Many of our staff have tenure exceeding 10 years, as they were employees with the former Head Start and ABC grantee.

Head Start and ABC services are provided for 830 children. We operate 21 preschool centers (46 classrooms), five homebased programs, and serve 32 children in Early Head Start.
